Bloch AI Publishes a Free CEO AI Playbook

Bloch AI has published the CEO AI Playbook, a free guide for the people who set AI strategy and answer for the results: chief executives, executive teams and non-executive directors.

The Playbook is about decisions rather than technology. It assumes no technical background and covers what AI should contribute to the business, what customers want from the change, how to make an honest agreement with staff, the roles the CEO, executives and board should play, how to fund the whole change rather than just the tool, and how to judge whether something is ready for use.

It runs to 22 pages in eight chapters, each ending in decisions a leadership team can take. It comes with the Strategy Canvas, a one-page A3 worksheet that records the outcome the team wants, what is in and out of scope, the time and money available, and what the team can decide for itself.

A worked example follows Harbour, a fictional mid-market firm, from first idea to a mixed pilot result. Its pilot more than halved proposal turnaround but missed its target, and a missing approval record showed a gap in its controls. The Playbook is clear that six proposals are too few to prove the gain, and uses the example to show how to read a mixed result: Harbour decided to fix the control first and keep testing before deciding whether to expand.
